A few tips Steve recommends on using your two stage Toro snow blower:
- Stay in 2nd or 3rd gear if you want to clear the driveway down to the surface.
- Use a higher gear if you want to clear the driveway fast (with less than 6 inches) and don’t care if there’s a coating of snow left on the drive.
- Use 1st gear to clear the end of the driveway after the city plows have gone by.
Steve notes that although he used to have problems with ice buildup during the winter, clearing the driveway with his Toro snow blower has eliminated that problem, since it clears down to the surface so well.
